CEPESCA is a fishery association that represents all the fishermen with which ALNITAK develops its programme “Fishermen, guardians of marine biodiversity”.

SOCIB is a multi-platform distributed and integrated system that provides streams of oceanographic data and modeling services to support operational oceanography in a European and international framework.
Through ALNITAK, KAI Marine Services works with the SOCIB on the OASIS Program development.

National Geographic Crittercam
The National Geographic’s Remote Imaging department collaborates with KAI Marine Services in the tracking and filming with National Geographic Crittercams® of marine pelagic species in the Mediterranean. In complement to the scientific purpose of this collaboration, that searches to find answers to some of our questions on how the open ocean ecosystem works,  National Geographic contributes to the outreach of the marine Survey work conducted by KAI.

The Fisheries Service of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the United States plays a key role Worldwide in the search of solutions to the interactions between fisheries and endangered species. Through collaboration initiated in 2005, NOAA has provided economic and logistical support for the development of fishing trials and sea turtle ecology studies focusing on the problem of bycatch in surface longlines.

Standford University – Hopkins Marine Station
The Hopkins Marine Station was founded in 1892 as the first marine laboratory on the west coast of North America. The modern laboratory facilities on the 11-acre campus on Cabrillo Point house ten faculty, all members of the Department of Biology. The Miller Library has a collection of literature in marine science. The Hopkins faculty offers undergraduate and graduate courses in biology which focus on the marine realm and involve topics including oceanography, environmental and comparative physiology, molecular evolution, biomechanics, cellular biology, conservation biology, and neurobiology and behavior.

The Global Tagging of Pelagic Predators (GTOPP) program is an international, multidisciplinary collaboration among biologists, engineers, computer scientists and educators, which will allow users to view and interact with animal tracking data, as well as oceanographic datasets, to marine life observation.
The GTOPP program builds on the accomplishments of the Tagging of Pacific Predators (TOPP) program, one of the original field research projects of the global Census of Marine Life.

HYDRA is a partnership of several private research institutions and consulting companies that came together between 1987 and 1995, with the aim of providing an international network for services, research and training in aquatic and environmental sciences was created, in which the expertise from different fields merges. Since 2012, HYDRA and KAI Marine Services have collaborated in diverse outreach and research projects.

The Fish and Wildlife Service of the United States plays a strategic role in the conservation of the loggerhead turtle populations that KAI studies in the Mediterranean. These turtles, originating from the nesting grounds of the western North Atlantic are currently threatened during parts of their lifecycle in the open sea, and there conservation therefore requires international concerted action. The USFWS collaborates with KAI Marine Services since 2012 on a programme addressing the issue of sea turtle bycatch mitigation in the Spanish long distance fisheries.

KAI marine
KAI Marine is an international interdiscplinary think tank of experts registered as an LTD in Spain. Since 2010 in the conservation of marine biodiversity mainly through the design of protected areas and the development of technological measures to better study and protect highly mobile marine species as cetaceans, seabirds and turtles. Alnitak and KAI have collaborated in diverse projects since 2010.

Mission Blue

Fundación Biodiversidad is a public foundation of the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment that works to preserve Spain´s natural heritage, promoting its conservation as a stregic resource that creates wealth and well-being for society.
Through ALNITAK, KAI Marine Services works with the Fundación Biodiversidad on various national and international initiatives focusing on the conservation of marine ecosystems.

The Spanish Institute of Oceanography , is a public research organization, with a variety of  oceanographic research activities.
KAI Marine Services works with IEO in different research projects.

SmartFish is a social enterprise that rescues value in SSF to make them profitably sustainable by creating local and regional markets for sustainable seafood within developing nations. SmartFish market initiatives complement sustainable fishery management practices, incentivizing management for fishermen and processors and serving as the missing link for sustainability from bait to plate.

Ocean Care
OceanCare is a Swiss nonprofit organisation that has specialized since 1989 in the conservation of marine mammals and oceans mainly through research and conservation projects, campaigns, environmental education as well as its contributions to a range of important international committees.
